*DIHEPTYL SUCCINATE is used as a replacement to silicones in cosmetic products. It generally accompanies CAPRYLOYL GLYCERIN/SEBACIC ACID COPOLYMER in a formula. The two ingredients together, according to their ratio can mimic the super light skin sensation that Dimethicone (silicone) creates.
