Return policy
LA VIE does not accept returns or exchanges with the exception of products that present a manufacturing defect.
If the situation occurs, contact us at info@atelierlavieapothicaire.com within 48 hours of delivery date.
Products that present manufacturing defects and were purchased at one of our authorized retailers must be returned where purchased.
Product damaged during delivery
LA VIE takes every precaution needed to protect products during delivery, however, products can get damaged during delivery. If you receive a damaged product, it will be replaced without additional shipping fees or refunded.
Steps to take:
- Take a picture of the expedition box and its content.
- Send us a request to replace the product within 48 hours of delivery date at info@atelierlavieapothicaire.com
False or incorrect order.
If you noticed an error in your order contact us at info@atelierlavieapothicaire.com within 48 hours of delivery date with details including your order number and a brief description of the situation. Depending on the situation, we will be able to refund or exchange the wrong/missing products.
Shipping orders - Temperatures below zero
From November to March, all orders containing liquids will be delivered to the POST OFFICE in your area. A delivery notice will be left in your mailbox. This is to prevent freeze resulting in glass bottles breaking and to preserve product integrity during cold season.
NEW - Delivery with Mandatory Signature
If you chose the shipping option with mandatory signature, your order will be delivered at your home. MAKE SURE to be present at the time of delivery. If not, a delivery notice will be left at your door so that you can pickup your parcel at the post office.
Atelier La Vie Apothicaire is in no way responsible for unclaimed parcels.
Please make sure to check your shipment’s tracking number that will be sent by email once your order has left our warehouse (check spam if not received).
Kindly verify delivery details as well as the post office information to retrieve your parcel.
LA VIE is not responsible for unclaimed packages at the post office. Unclaimed parcels will be returned to the sender (atelier la vie apothicaire). This will be at the client’s expense. According to this event the customer may request a refund for goods not received by contacting info@atelierlavieapothicaire.com and mentioning the order number as a reference.
HOWEVER the costs granted for goods returned to the sender (atelier la vie apothicaire) will be deducted from customers entitled refund. We are aware that this situation is not ideal and greatly appreciate your support during the cold season.
Product availability
We work hard to maintain stock inventory high, however, high demand can sometimes cause some products to become out of stock. If you wish to be noticed when a product that is out of stock will be available again, enter your email address in the notification box available in the product listing.
Please note that availability and prices of our products can change anytime without notice.
Shipping delivery time of online orders
Every order is prepared and sent within 2 to 3 business days. When your package is released to Canada Post, the normal delivery time is approximately 3 to 5 business days. Note that once your package is sent to Canada Post, shipping delays are out of our control.
Shipping costs - Quebec and Ontario
Free shipping for orders of $125 and over (before taxes)
$9.99 shipping for all orders between $64.00 to $124.99 (before taxes).
$12.99 shipping for all orders under $63.99 (before taxes).
Shipping fees are non refundable.
Orders that are returned by our carrier due to an unknown address are not eligible for free shipping. We can resend your package at a correct address at the price of our flat rate which is $12.99 (Quebec and Ontario) regardless of your order total.
Shipping costs - Rest of Canada
Free shipping for orders of $125 and over (before taxes)
$14.49 shipping for all orders under $125 (before taxes)
Shipping fees are non refundable.
Orders that are returned by our carrier due to an unknown address is not eligible for free shipping. We can resend your package at a correct address at the price of our flat rate which is $14.49 (Canada excluding Quebec and Ontario) regardless of your order total.
Shipping costs – United States
Free shipping for orders of $200 and over (before taxes)
$29.99 shipping for all orders under $200 (before taxes)
Orders placed on atelierlavieapothicaire.ca delivered outside Canada will be billed without Canadian taxes and may be subject to taxes, customs clearance fees and other fees imposed by the country where the package is delivered to. These taxes and other related fees are the sole responsibility of the customer and atelier la vie apothicaire will not be held accountable.
In the event of non-payment of the fees mentioned above, the parcel will be returned to the sender (atelier la vie apothicaire). This will be at the client’s expense.
According to this event the customer may request a refund for goods not received by contacting info@atelierlavieapothicaire.com and mentioning the order number as a reference.
HOWEVER the costs granted for goods returned to the sender (atelier la vie apothicaire) including applicable taxes, shipping costs, customs clearance and other charges imposed by Canada will be deducted from customers entitled refund.
The customer accepts the terms and conditions of sale when the payment of his order is approved.
Shipping costs – Countries outside Canada and United States
For the moment our production capacity does not allow us to sell or ship to countries outside Canada and United States.
Bulk purchase
La Vie created products that are non-toxic for the body and the environment. However, we do not offer a bulk refilling service at the moment. Considering the space needed in boutiques to support this system, the variety and quality of the products we offer, this option is complex to sustain. LA VIE products get their fragrance from essential oils only which are at their best in glass containers, a material that protects and preserves their integrity. It is also one of the reasons we currently do not offer bulk purchase.
Recycling of glass containers
LA VIE is a small business and managing a system that allows to reuse empty bottles in more than 90 retailers across Canada is currently impossible from an operations perspective. All our containers are reusable in your home; hand soap bottles make excellent dish soap and laundry soap dispensers, etc. They are also 100% recyclable when the glass is well cleaned.
Promotional code
LA VIE has chosen not to offer promotional codes on its products. LA VIE offers high end, high-quality and natural products at a reasonable price – we do not inflate our prices. For that reason, we never offer discounts on our products, you are then guaranteed to pay a fair price that will not be different anywhere else.
Integrity and origin of ingredients used in our products
Transparency is important for us. We have nothing to hide! You will find information regarding all of our ingredients, their origin as well as the role they play in the ingredients section.
